There's been a lot of comments in here so far, and, based on Lambeth council's track record with consultations there's slim chance of them paying any attention to any of them. Lambeth see consultations and assessments as hurdles to be got over because they're obliged to do them, not because they give a damn what any of us think. Let's all keep a close eye on where the tenders and our money end up. Don't forget the £2250 plant pot and the £6000 park bench. Let's also keep an eye on how long it is after they councillors have done their photo shoots that the 'improvements' are left to rot along with all their other follies.

In my opinion, the proposed design is trying to do far too much and makes absolutely no sense for this space. This is a highly frequented path for pedestrians and cyclists to travel through, and it needs to remain functional for that purpose. By all means, add some greenery and better lighting, but in my view, adding seating and a play area would be a mistake and colossal waste of money. Sometimes a road can just be a road.
