Shakespeare Road

The Shakespeare Road design aims to create a space for the community where people can gather, play and rest. The main features of the design are:

• Colourful resurfacing of the road
• A mini square with seating
• Community book swap
• Activity space for workshops, performances and outdoor activities
• Murals which reflect the local area
• Cycle parking and hangars
• Planting and trees to help tackle climate change
• Kerbs to guide visually impaired people 
• Drop kerbs for wheelchair users/ people with buggies
• Lighting under the bridge
