News on Railton Neighbourhood

Construction work will begin at Atlantic Road to deliver public realm improvements which form part of the Railton LTN. The public realm works consist of a new raised table at Atlantic Road with Vining Street junction aimed to reduce vehicle speeds and improve safety, as well as the conversion of pay-by-phone parking bays to loading only bays.

Works are programmed to be carried out from Monday 16th January 2023 – Friday 10th February 2023, with a revisit in May 2023 to add anti-skid surfacing on the carriageway.

The works will be carried out between 08:00 –18:00hrs Monday to Friday, and 08:00 – 14:00hrs on Saturdays.

To facilitate these works safely, warning signage and barriers will be installed in the areas affected. We will require no vehicles to be parked in the road within the working and safety zones, as indicated by cones and suspension signs. Any obstructing vehicles will be relocated to nearby spaces/roads.
